At the Hilltop we have been designing and building the perfect view since 1970. Founded by renowned landscape architect Jim DeFlon and Jim Forrester (who added crucial knowledge of landscape construction), the company is New Mexico’s oldest and largest design-build firm.
The Hilltop has experts in residential and commercial design and construction, from intimate backyard living spaces to multi-acre commercial, industrial and recreational properties.
The key to our success is the more than 200 landscape professionals who work at the Hilltop. Experience and skill run deep in our company. The design team has over 100 years combined experience at the Hilltop. Ninety percent of our key installers have been employed with The Hilltop 20 years or more, many of them more than 30 years! Our army of excellent stone and block masons, irrigation installers, carpenters and stucco workers (to mention a few) all take great pride in their work. In addition, we have the finest arborist division in the state.
After talking with the client and reviewing the site, the design team responds to the client’s wishes to create a landscape plan that will work.
