When the owner of a Kirtland Air Force Base area home approached us for help with this front yard, we were able to help him qualify for the City of Albuquerque Xeriscape Rebate Program by removing over 4,000 square feet of high water use lawn and replacing it with low water use plants on drip irrigation. The client had some existing trees that count toward the necessary plant cover and the young plants added will grow to fill in the landscape. The gravel mulch over a weed barrier fabric with natural boulder and cobblestone accents complete the landscape.
